"Fairies are what I wish were real and have wings to fly. This web site shows me that if you are not one you can always pretend. They always have a beauty to them that makes me happy to love fairies."

An entry made in Jake's Guestbook on our website by Adamina on January 30, 2003.

It is through the imagination of a child that we take this enchanted journey for a quick look into the fairy realm. We go to a delightful land beyond our dreams where flowers bloom year round and the forest's trees drip with wild honey. There is no pain or sickness here. Evil is long since gone. Food and drink abound and the jewels and gold of the fairy realm outshine all the splendors ever dreamt by man.

The gentle breezes on the water cause the mermaids to stir and sweetly tune their magic shells. Fairies in their merriest moods bound and dance. This is where the waterfalls sing and the wind plays a mystic harp through the branches of the forest.

A place where you can outrun the wind and dance with the rays of the sun.

And as you settle in for the night and the stars bejewel the sky, a thousand fairies will sing you to sleep with a fairy lullaby.

This is but a glimpse of where fairies live. So remember that only the magic of love and the great gift of imagination can ever turn the key to unlock the gateway door to the fairy realm.

Don't let your heart grow old and listen to the voice of the wind in the branches as it has a message for you. Let's be friends.

Check out our Guestbook on our website for more great comments!

Fairy Wings

These wings of new,
These wings of old,
Keep me safe from night's cold,
Protect me from morning dew,
And shed the light to a morning new.

These wings time has withered old,
By heaven's grace may they protect me from the cold,
I see all from these wings sheer,
A girl's dream a man's fear.

Though these wings are withered old,
They are worth more to me than even gold,
And so I sit here withered still,
These wings protect my iron will.

Faerie Lights

Faerie lights in the Forest Night
Fire blazes burning bright
Snow blows and gusts and goes
Sifting through the outstretched boughs
Gauzy moon is waxing round
Fluorescing spots of silver ground
Illuminating secret worlds
Where winter ferns are tightly furled
Diamond rime makes tinsel tines
From frosted limbs, melodic chimes
Laughing chorus fills the Dell
Tinkling as do tiny bells
Gossamer wings beat crystalline air
Enchanted creatures gambol there
And giant redwoods stand transfixed
While supple willows bend, bewitched
Hark'ning to the lilting strains
Of Pixies piping soft refrains
Swaying branches mark the time
Of Minstrils chanting magic rhyme
And Woodland Gnomes sing sacred tomes
Weaving mist with every poem
Sylphite shapes cascade and spin
They beckon spellbound strangers in .....
But Distance is Illusion here
For when approached, they disappear
And Elfin drumbeats fade away
As Twilight hues tone into gray
Just once again a forest glade
Concealing where the faeries played ....
Yet pearly footprints can be traced
On dainty swirls of frosted lace

Love at First Sight
In the early morning sheen,
He searches for his fairy queen,
And isn't love a funny thing,
for she searches for her Fairy King.
Two beings passing through the day,
Wish to meet in each other's way,
For though they love each other true,
They are in love with beings they never knew.

Now they search into the night,
The stars in the sky just hung right,
And as they wish upon a star,
They see each other from afar,
Two fairies passing in the night,
Fell in love with love at first sight.

The Amethyst Fairy and the Dragonfly

Once upon a time in a land far, far away, lived a lovely but very lonely Fairy who befriended a lowly green worm.
The Fairy wanted nothing more than to transform her worm friend into a beautiful dragonfly who could be with her forever and ever.
She tried with all her might, but her friend remained a worm - the Fairy just could not do this difficult feat on her own.
Then one day, while walking all alone, she met an Ogre along her way, and greeted him with a warm, friendly smile.
The Ogre was so grateful for her kindness, he presented her a brilliant scepter.
The fairy returned to the green worm and tapped her friend's head with this special gift.
Lo and Behold! The lowly worm transformed into a magnificent Dragonfly that followed and protected the Amethyst Fairy for the rest of her life.

This beautiful egg design and story are the creations of Egg Artist Gloria Harrison of Grants Pass, Oregon. We do not sell this Egg although we created the fairy inside. Gloria Harrison will be teaching this egg at Alcraft Egg Artistry in Brookfield Ohio, May 16-18, 2003. For further information, contact Ruth Jennings at (330)448-1573.
