 The forest is a magical place where all kinds of creatures, both of this realm and others, dwell. Have a tree's leaves ever rustled on a calm day as you walked by? There was no bird, no animal and no wind. You may have stirred a tree fairy queen. What do you suppose she was saying? Was she inviting you in? Each tree is a doorway to the fairy realm and each tree has its own distinct fairy spirit. If you are patient, they will share with you their great secrets. This may be why long walks in the woods are known to stimulate our thoughts and ideas.

Many wands of the great fairy devas are said to be made of ash because of its mysterious properties. A staff taken with permission from a birch tree will allow a human to pass into the fairy realm and back again. The elm tree is the tree of intuition. The hawthorn is of magic. Maple tree fairies assist us in fulfilling our promises and aspirations. Bringing an acorn into your home invites fairies to follow. Pine tree fairies show us how to use our creativity and protect us from negativity. The willow is said to uproot itself at night and follow and assist travelers. The fairy of the mighty redwood can connect directly to our soul and show us our heart's desire. Fairies of the spruce are gentle towards humans and love our company. If you have a spruce in your yard, it is the protector and caretaker of your property. These and many more wondrous things await you as you walk in the woods! |
