Titania and Oberon From a Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare, Oberon, King of the Fairies holds the sleeping fairy Queen Titania. Oberon is mounted on a mirrored base and is dressed in leather with a jewelled and beaded tunic and a hand painted silk shawl that cascades from his shoulders. His handsome face is crowned with a laurel of brass leaves. Gently cradled in his arms is Titania sleeping peacefully. She wears a gown of gold and white silk with jewels around her waist and across her breast. Her hair glimmers with gold dust and a jewelled tiara. An exquisite pairing. |
